This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Execute calculations for accounts receivable valuation in Kodiak RCA and assess monthly third-party reimbursement settlements.
• Oversee systems related to third-party reimbursement calculations.
• Support the month-end closing process by creating journal entries, reviewing previous period estimates, and ensuring adherence to financial reporting standards using Kodiak RCA.
• Analyze and review preliminary monthly net patient revenue, suggesting changes when necessary during the month-end closing process.
• Communicate the net revenue effects of RCA calculations and adjustments to finance leadership and other stakeholders, promoting transparency and informed decision-making.
• Aid in the preparation of reports and packages to facilitate the monthly closing process.
• Grasp the reconciliation process from the source accounting system to the RCA system daily and complete it as required.
• Comprehend the daily maintenance of mapping related to transaction codes, facility tables, patient types, financial classes, as well as provider and modifier maintenance and perform these tasks as needed.
• Generate monthly patient accounts receivable account reconciliations for all assigned entities and accounts.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments and financial operators on net revenue management activities.
• Engage in Kodiak RCA training sessions and leverage in-application educational resources to remain proficient with the platform’s evolving features.
• Ensure timely provision of accurate information and assist, as necessary, in facilitating the efficient conduct of external audits, examinations, and related financial projects.
• Support the year-end audit and the preparation of audited consolidated financial statements.
• Promote ChristianaCare’s core values and behaviors throughout the Financial Accounting & Reporting Department.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting is required.
• Healthcare financial or related experience is necessary.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
• Experience in a large-firm public accounting setting is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
