This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Apply the latest advancements in Neural Rendering and generative models.

• Transform innovative solutions in the field of autonomous driving for high-fidelity Camera, LiDAR, and Radar sensor simulations.

• Assist in the development of a neural rendering framework that facilitates the scaling of perception simulation and AV 3.0 training.

• Incorporate the framework into a cloud environment and automate the workflow to enable scaling for the targeted verification and validation of our autonomous trucks.

• Lead development projects within the team, overseeing all phases from research and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.

• Create, implement, test, and launch production-quality software based on initial prototypes using structured software development methodologies.

• Collaborate within the cloud machine learning ecosystem alongside other existing machine learning services in the organization.

• Actively evaluate current capabilities to pinpoint areas for enhancement, proposing solutions that align with the core strategy and operations.

• Exhibit project management abilities by serving as the project leader, guiding less experienced team members through various aspects of project execution, providing coaching and mentoring as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.

• PhD or equivalent experience of over 6 years in relevant fields (CS, Robotics, Electrical Engineering) with a proven track record in delivering production software.

• Demonstrated mastery in Neural Rendering (including Neural Radiance Fields and 3D Gaussian Splatting) and generative models (such as Diffusion Models and Flow Matching).

• Strong background in Computer Graphics, 3D Reconstruction, or 3D Computer Vision.

• Recognized as highly skilled and proficient in the discipline; performs complex and significant work with minimal supervision and considerable independence in decision-making.

• Familiarity with VDI and cloud-based machine learning development environments.

• Expected to promote alignment across team interfaces and the broader organization.

• Designs, maintains, and owns team technical solutions while fostering consensus.

• Provides mentorship and guidance to engineers within the group.
