
Senior Mexican Spanish Language Specialist – Video Game Localization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Manage the translation, editing, and proofreading of video game content from English into Mexican Spanish, specifically for the Mexican market.
• Collaborate closely with client-side stakeholders to ensure consistency in tone, style, and terminology.
• Lead creative language decisions across diverse game genres and platforms.
• Create and maintain style guides, glossaries, and other linguistic resources.
• Evaluate key assets, handle linguistic issues, and address inquiries.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams (Audio, LQA, Project Managers) to guarantee linguistic consistency and quality assurance.
• Provide training and mentorship to both internal and external translators regarding best practices and workflows.
• Actively pursue opportunities to enhance localization processes.
• Familiarity with Blizzard projects, including World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Overwatch, and Diablo, is essential.
• Native-level proficiency in Mexican Spanish and fluency in English (both written and spoken) are required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage confidently in client calls and team meetings.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in editing video game content.
• Extensive experience with CAT tools and project management software (e.g., memoQ, Jira, MS Office).
• An educational background in linguistics, translation, or language studies.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of performing well under pressure.
• A genuine passion for gaming and a belief in the impact of language on player immersion.
• Willingness to work in Central European Time (CET).
