Senior Medical Writer – Publications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Create, edit, and oversee manuscripts, posters, abstracts, oral presentation slide decks, and review articles, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and minimal supervision.

• Identify and assist in resolving project management challenges, including out-of-scope requests.

• Guarantee compliance with quality assurance processes and industry regulations.

• Act as the primary point of contact for the team on projects.

• Lead or contribute to initiatives aimed at process enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive demonstrated experience as a writer of peer-reviewed medical publications.

• Background in a CRO environment is preferred.

• Experience in generating publication extenders (such as plain language summaries, video/graphical abstracts) is advantageous.

• Familiarity with publication planning and strategy is a plus.

• Exceptional skills in scientific writing, project management, and digital literacy.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of various therapeutic areas.

• Additional credentials (e.g., EMWA or CMPP certification) are advantageous.

• Strong professional judgment when addressing inquiries, issues, and client concerns.

• Ability to make independent decisions and resolve problems effectively.

• Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Skilled in prioritizing and delegating tasks efficiently.

• Capable of delivering work within established budgets and timelines, while facilitating conflict resolution among team members and clients.
