This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in executing the US medical strategy for the thoracic portfolio and pipeline through the US Medical Plan, which includes preparations for product launches and strategies for product enhancement.
• Collaborate effectively with the Brand Team, Product Team, Medical Team, and Development Team.
• Provide strategic insights regarding the US treatment landscape, registration strategies, and product improvement initiatives.
• Formulate a detailed US medical plan for products within the SCLC pipeline.
• Oversee relationships with external stakeholders and aid in the creation of scientific communications, evidence generation, and medical education strategies.
• Contribute to the global product strategy by leveraging knowledge of the US medical environment and engaging with external experts.
• Promote Amgen’s position as a science-driven and patient-centered partner.
• Collaborate with Global Development Leads and Medical Leads on activities related to evidence generation.
• Ensure that the Evidence Generation Plan addresses essential US needs.
• Doctorate degree with 2 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Master’s degree with 4 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Associate’s degree with 10 years of Medical Affairs experience OR High school diploma / GED with 12 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• MD with an accredited fellowship in Hematology-Oncology, preferably board certified or board eligible.
• A minimum of 2 years in Medical Affairs and/or clinical research experience and/or basic science research in Hematology-Oncology is preferred.
• At least 2 years of clinical research experience and/or basic science along with clinical teaching and patient care activities, ideally within the thoracic tumor domain.
• Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and interactions with opinion leaders, advocacy groups, and payers.
• A comprehensive understanding of the scientific method and clinical application based on medical, scientific, and practical reasoning.
• Familiarity with clinical research, clinical trial design, real-world evidence, and biostatistics.
• Strong scientific and medical judgment.
• Knowledge of regulations and guidelines that govern practices within the pharmaceutical industry.
