This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, researchers, advocacy organizations, and centers of excellence.
• Facilitate scientific discussions and medical education regarding both current and emerging therapies.
• Provide support for research trial sites and assist in the development of investigator-initiated research proposals.
• Cultivate and maintain scientific, clinical, and therapeutic knowledge related to Acadia’s portfolio.
• Collaborate effectively across teams with Regional Business Leaders and Account Business Managers.
• Offer strategic insights from the field.
• Identify disease concepts and characteristics of compounds to differentiate products.
• Deliver scientific, clinical, and educational support to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Represent Acadia at continuing education events, medical meetings, and conventions.
• Support Commercial operations through training for Speakers and Sales Representatives.
• Work in partnership with internal departments to ensure the accurate delivery of medical and scientific information.
• Travel across the West region, which includes Northern California, Oregon, and Washington, with travel requirements up to 75%.
• An advanced degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD) in a scientific discipline or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Experience in supporting therapeutic areas such as rare diseases, epilepsy, neurology, or psychiatry is highly preferred.
• Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations, compliance requirements, and clinical research practices.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight travel, with residency within the assigned territory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Capability to travel independently overnight and work after hours as necessitated by travel schedules or business needs.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
