This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Assist in achieving the medical objectives and goals for one of Sobi’s rheumatology products by providing strategic leadership and operational execution.
• Offer strategic and scientific medical affairs guidance for a Rheumatology product currently in development.
• Aid in the creation and execution of the US medical strategy, tactical plans, and healthcare provider (HCP) engagement strategies.
• Collaborate with field medical teams to engage and inform healthcare providers (HCPs), medical organizations, payers, and patient advocacy groups.
• Serve as a representative of the overall Medical Science organization in cross-functional initiatives as necessary.
• Formulate a US evidence generation strategy to meet the needs of stakeholders (HCPs, payers, and patients).
• Supervise any medical affairs-led research initiatives, including US Phase IV clinical programs.
• Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD) in life sciences.
• Over 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical/biotech sector.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Medical Director.
• Previous experience in product launches is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive medical strategies.
• Experience in addressing data gaps, devising solutions, and publishing clinical data, including direct participation in publication strategy development, data analysis, and execution.
• Familiarity with US legal, regulatory, and compliance standards.
• Comfortable in fast-paced environments; capable of adapting to changing needs and "wearing many hats."
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills; able to convey complex scientific ideas clearly.
• Strategic and analytical thinker with a strong foundation in scientific and clinical knowledge.
• Proven leadership and team-building capabilities; promotes a positive and motivational work environment.
• Strong collaboration skills; effectively partners with customers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams at all levels.
• Results-oriented, solution-focused, and innovative in approach.
• Experience in cross-functional roles, particularly in organizations that value collaboration and adaptability.
• Enthusiastic, passionate, and empathetic; a strong patient focus is critical.
• Willing to travel domestically up to 25% of the time.
• Experience in Rheumatology is preferred.
