This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +18 more states.
• Take ownership of the comprehensive marketing measurement strategy encompassing paid search, paid social, display, affiliates, CTV, and lifecycle/CRM, integrating MMM, MTA, and incrementality testing to direct channel and portfolio-level investments.
• Design, implement, and assess experiments (such as geo tests, PSA tests, and holdouts) as well as causal inference studies that measure lift, guide targeting decisions, and establish best practices for navigating uncertainty.
• Develop and operationalize predictive models (e.g., LTV, churn/propensity, audience response, budget allocation) utilizing SQL and Python or R, collaborating with data engineering to automate data pipelines and maintain data integrity.
• Create executive-level dashboards and narratives using tools like Looker or Mode that monitor KPIs, clarify performance drivers, and convert insights into concise, prioritized recommendations.
• Collaborate with Strategic Finance and Marketing leadership on forecasting, scenario planning, and quarterly planning workflows; influence strategic roadmaps and present results to stakeholders at the VP level and above.
• Effectively prioritize in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects simultaneously while raising the analytical standards of the team through peer reviews, thorough documentation, and mentorship.
• 6+ years of experience in marketing analytics or data science within the technology, e-commerce, marketplace, or consumer subscription sectors.
• Advanced expertise in SQL and proficiency in either Python or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and modeling activities.
• Practical experience in designing and evaluating marketing experiments (including A/B tests, geo experiments, and holdouts) and employing causal inference methods to assess incrementality.
• Proven success in executing at least one marketing measurement methodology (such as MMM, MTA, or structured incrementality testing) to guide budget allocation for multi-million-dollar initiatives.
• Experience in creating business-facing dashboards and self-service tools using Looker, Tableau, or Mode.
• Familiarity with modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift) and version control systems (Git).
• Demonstrated skill in translating vague business inquiries into analytical frameworks and effectively communicating clear, actionable insights to both technical and executive audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
