Senior Mapping Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assign and maintain mappings for administrative code sets (ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT4, HCPCS) in line with production and release timelines.

• Ensure content is updated in accordance with code set revisions and follow nationally recognized coding guidelines.

• Support product release timelines, including addressing identified mapping issues.

• Exhibit advanced proficiency in initial mapping and quality assurance processes across various code sets.

• Identify opportunities for mapping enhancements and manage complex customer inquiries and related calls.

• Engage in tool testing and assist with intricate release-related responsibilities.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to emerging team members.

• Create clear editorial content with relevant examples and oversee the editorial workflow.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue cycle and health information management topics within a cross-functional team at IMO Health.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience with US-based code sets: ICD-10-CM/PCS, ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPCS is required.

• One of the following credentials is mandatory: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC.

• An associate or bachelor's degree in health information management systems or equivalent experience is preferred.

• A minimum of five years of experience in medical records coding, electronic health records, and medical terminology is required.

• Experience with claims edits, payor denials, and/or risk-adjustment coding is preferred.

• Strong conceptual and critical thinking abilities with the capacity to develop structured solutions that align with business requirements and mapping standards.

• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with the capability to present complex information clearly and lead influence across teams.
