Senior Manager, Supplier Quality Engineer – QMS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and uphold an efficient and compliant Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and other pertinent industry standards.

• Oversee all facets of supplier quality engineering, which includes supplier selection, qualification, auditing, performance monitoring, and the implementation of corrective actions.

• Create and maintain effective processes for managing non-conformances, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and change control within the QMS.

• Supervise both internal and external QMS audits, ensuring prompt resolution of findings and promoting continuous improvement efforts.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D) to embed quality requirements throughout the product lifecycle.

• Develop and provide training programs on QMS and Supplier Quality Engineering for employees and suppliers.

• Propel continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies and quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D) to boost product quality, reliability, and supplier performance.

• Track and report on critical quality metrics and performance indicators to senior leadership.

• Lead a team of quality professionals, offering guidance, mentorship, and conducting performance evaluations.

• Keep abreast of changing quality standards, regulations, and best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.

• Master's degree is preferred.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in Quality Management Systems and Supplier Quality Engineering within a manufacturing or technology setting.

• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or management capacity.

• Demonstrated expertise in the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001; experience with AS9100 or TL9000 is a plus.

• Proven experience in managing and performing supplier audits and qualifications.

• Strong familiarity with quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, Lean, Six Sigma).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Outstanding communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Capability to influence and work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels.

• Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager (CQM/OE), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Lead Auditor are highly desirable.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as necessary (approximately 20-30%).
