Senior Manager, Product Design – Product Platform

📋 Description

• Oversee the design process for CaptivateIQ's Product Platform and its shared experiences.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product designers, including senior individual contributors.

• Define the design strategy and establish quality standards for the Product Platform in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.

• Actively engage in shaping high-impact or ambiguous challenges as a player-coach.

• Create interaction and visual design standards for intricate product surfaces.

• Utilize systems thinking to recognize cross-product implications and common patterns.

• Advocate for Design in discussions about roadmaps, prioritization, and architectural planning.

• Foster alignment and facilitate decision-making across teams through effective influence.

• Leverage research, product data, and customer insights to guide strategy and validate choices.

• Promote the adoption and advancement of the Quotient shared design system.

• Advocate for AI-driven product thinking and AI-enhanced design methodologies.

• Report directly to the Head of Design and collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in product design, focusing on complex, systems-level, platform, or infrastructure-related products.

• At least 3 years of experience managing product designers, including senior-level contributors.

• Proven history of nurturing designers into roles with greater scope and responsibilities.

• A portfolio that showcases exceptional product craftsmanship, systems thinking, and the ability to simplify technically complex experiences.

• Strong judgment in visual and interaction design.

• Experience in defining design strategies across interconnected product domains.

• Familiarity with building, evolving, or overseeing a design system.

• Strong cross-functional leadership skills and experience in influencing decisions within Product and Engineering.

• Technical fluency in architecture, data models, and platform limitations.

• Understanding of how AI is transforming product experiences and design practices.

• Experience in designing complex B2B SaaS or enterprise products is a significant advantage.
