This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the design, creation, and delivery of real-world evidence that assesses the benefit:risk profile of medications for regulatory decision-making and compliance.
• Collaborate on comprehensive evidence generation strategies and ensure alignment of RWE study conceptualization and design with cross-functional objectives and priorities.
• Negotiate with cross-functional partners to enhance the application of RWE, either as a substitute for or complementary to interventional studies, thereby reducing drug development time and costs while addressing business queries.
• Promote the dissemination of RWE through publications, presentations at congresses, training sessions, and scientific/promotional resources aimed at external stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of innovative analytical methods, utilizing internal data, analytics capabilities, and tools to produce rapid, scalable, and reproducible RWE.
• Progress innovative epidemiological methods and analytical capabilities that support CfOR’s leadership at Amgen and throughout the industry.
• Act as a member of the Bone team within Amgen’s Center for Observational Research.
• Doctorate degree with 2 years of relevant research and scientific experience.
• Master's degree accompanied by 6 years of relevant research and scientific experience.
• Bachelor's degree along with 8 years of relevant research and scientific experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant research and scientific experience.
• High School diploma / GED and 12 years of relevant research and scientific experience.
• Doctorate in Epidemiology or another discipline with a strong emphasis on observational research is preferred.
• Proven experience in designing, executing, and analyzing observational research studies in pharmaceutical and/or public health contexts.
• Experience in conducting research that supports drug development.
• Familiarity with secondary data systems, including administrative claims, EMR, and registries.
• Background in observational research project planning and management.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in working with and leading multidisciplinary teams.
