Senior Manager, Machine Learning

📋 Description

• Serve as a Player-Coach: Immerse yourself in data and coding. A considerable amount of your time will be dedicated to making direct technical contributions, reviewing code/PRs, and grasping the mathematical intricacies of your team's models.

• Lead Strategic Initiatives: Take responsibility for a specific product domain (such as Cash Line or Auto) and act as the primary ML leader in cross-functional strategy discussions.

• Drive 0→1 and Scale ML Efforts: Depending on your team's focus, you may develop entirely new capabilities from the ground up or enhance highly mature models that handle significant scale and fluctuating macro-economic conditions.

• Translate Models into Business Impact: Create and refine decision engines that convert model predictions into precise, transparent, and customer-friendly lending outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production with measurable business impact.

• Demonstrated history of leading high-impact ML projects from research to production.

• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., computer science, statistics, economics, operations research, etc.).

• Strong technical judgment with the ability to delve deeply into model design, data analysis, and evaluation.

• Sharp statistical, economic, and business intuition, and comfort in reasoning under uncertainty and with data constraints.

• Familiarity with production ML, adaptability to new tech stacks, and thorough understanding of the team's output.

• Enthusiastic and capable of making direct technical contributions when necessary.

• Outstanding leadership abilities with experience in developing teams of highly skilled ML scientists.

• Attract, mentor, and cultivate a top-tier team of ML scientists dedicated to enhancing access to credit.

• Proven capability to influence and collaborate across various functions, including Product, Engineering, Capital Markets, and other teams.

• Strong project management skills with experience in scaling processes and operational workflows.
