Senior Manager, Information System Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Manages the development, documentation, and delivery of information system security education, awareness, and training initiatives.

• Supervises the identification and documentation of specific local threats and vulnerabilities to the information system.

• Coordinates the facility's information system security program alongside other security programs at the facility.

• Oversees regular self-inspections of the facility's information system program.

• Manages the creation of facility procedures for the handling, control, transport, sanitization, and destruction of media that contains classified information.

• Oversees the reporting of information system security incidents.

• Supervises the implementation of vendor-provided authentication features and other security-related functionalities.

• Manages the deployment of security measures to detect malicious code, viruses, and intruders.

• Develops and applies specific and remote maintenance procedures.

• Oversees the selection, hiring, training, and evaluation of employees to improve their performance.

• Addresses performance-related issues and recommends personnel actions as necessary.

• Monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with the budget.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Master’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field is preferred.

• A minimum of twelve years of experience in computer science, management information systems, systems analysis, or data security.

• At least eight years of leadership or supervisory experience.

• CISSP certification is preferred.

• Experience with information security practices, networks, software, and hardware.

• Proficient in working with operating systems.

• Familiarity with security architecture is required.
