Senior Manager, FP&A

Posted Jul 28

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of designing and maintaining KMS’s standardized “Excel databases” — ensuring clean, flat, pivot-ready tables that consolidate data from source systems and Power BI into Excel, enabling the Global Head of FP&A and others to generate insights directly through pivot tables.

• Establish standardized data extracts: uniform schema, consistent formats, and fixed extraction cut-off times, ensuring that revenue and cost data align to the same timeframe.

• Collaborate closely with the Vietnam-based pipeline data analyst who manages the Power BI database to ensure seamless and consistent data flow into the Excel databases.

• Implement and uphold data governance and documentation — including naming conventions, refresh cadence, and version control — to guarantee that the data is reliable, reproducible, and auditable.

• Maintain the Excel databases as an accessible, self-serve front end for analysis, complementing (rather than replacing) the upstream usage of Power BI.

• Spearhead the transition from the current separate Google Sheets and Excel files — which are manually consolidated into a single workbook upon request — to a structured set of linked Excel workbooks functioning as a unified financial model.

• Design the model architecture: identify module boundaries (e.g., pipeline-to-revenue, cost of services and gross margin, Europe, consolidation and outputs), linking logic, input/calculation/output separation, and assign clear ownership for each component.

• Establish modeling standards and controls — consistent formats, documented assumptions, error checks, and audit trails — to ensure the integrated model is robust, transparent, and easy to maintain.

• Work with the Accounting team to redesign and replace the existing manual consolidation process, ensuring the model meets executive reporting requirements proactively instead of reactively.

• Continually enhance the model’s structure, accuracy, and usability as the business and data sources change over time.

• Lead the development of the consolidated forecast model, integrating pipeline/revenue, cost/gross-margin, and Global inputs into a coherent company forecast.

• Conduct weekly Funnel-to-Cash and monthly forecasts, as well as Latest Estimate (LE) updates, along with comparative analysis (actual vs. forecast vs. budget), interpreting variances and trends to support decision-making.

• Assist in the annual budgeting process and scenario/sensitivity modeling across various business lines and regions.

• Serve as a trusted analytical partner to the Global Head of FP&A regarding revenue, cost, margin, OPEX, and other performance metrics.

• Act as the Global Head of FP&A’s right-hand advisor, advancing financial modeling to enhanced levels of analytics by applying best-practice numerical methods — including regression analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, and other statistical techniques — to improve the precision and reliability of forecasts.

• As the financial models evolve, assist in the introduction of AI to support and streamline the weekly Funnel-to-Cash (F2C) forecasting process.

• Consistently test, validate, and refine forecasting methodologies to ensure that improved techniques lead to more effective and quicker business decisions.

• Provide Americas-based support that enhances the global FP&A team’s responsiveness across time zones, facilitating timely analysis and decision-making for stakeholders in all regions.

• Coordinate the frequency and standards for inputs from colleagues and partners across regions — including the Vietnam-based pipeline-to-revenue and cost-to-gross-margin teams, the Poland-based regional finance team providing European data, and any future regions or acquired companies — into the forecast.

• Integrate and reconcile contributions from all regions into the consolidated model and Excel databases, ensuring a consistent global perspective.

• Collaborate as a peer and facilitator — co-designing templates and standards with colleagues instead of imposing them — to foster a cohesive, high-trust global FP&A team.

• Deliver the foundational data, models, and analysis that inform executive and board materials, working closely with the Global Head of FP&A responsible for those outputs.

• Ensure that the figures, structure, and supporting analysis behind executive communications are precise, consistent, and ready for decision-making.

• Transform complex financial data into clear, well-organized analyses and visuals that simplify the assembly of executive-level narratives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; a degree in Engineering or Mathematics and/or an MBA is preferred, with CFA being a plus.

• 7–10 years of progressive finance experience, including substantial time spent in an FP&A or financial modeling role.

• Prior experience in a high-growth technology, SaaS, or services organization is highly preferred.

• Experience working with globally distributed teams across diverse time zones.

• Expert-level proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, including advanced multi-workbook/linked-model design, along with a solid understanding of model architecture, controls, and best practices.

• Strong data management skills: structuring data, standardizing extracts, and creating clean, pivot-ready Excel datasets from various source systems, including statistical analysis.

• Familiarity with Power BI, data warehouses, and CRM platforms (Salesforce), HR Information systems, PSA’s, etc.; experience with ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite is a plus.

• Comprehensive understanding of forecasting, budgeting, and key SaaS/services metrics (bookings, pipeline, gross margin).

• Strong analytical communication skills — able to convey complex financial data clearly to senior audiences and support board-level storytelling.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the process discipline to establish and maintain standards.

• Collaborative and culturally aware, with the ability to partner effectively across regions and lead through influence rather than authority.

• Professional working proficiency in English.

🏝️ Benefits

• 15 days of PTO (in the first year, with 3 days accrued each subsequent year).

• 5 days of leave for the death of immediate family members, negotiable.

• Major Medical Expenses Insurance covering immediate dependents (spouse and children).

• Annual performance bonus (approximately 10% of annualized salary).

• Annual salary adjustment.

• Employee Referral Bonus.

• Paid Certifications / Courses with a Coursera License.

• 5% Savings Fund.

• 5% Grocery Vouchers.
