Senior Manager, Data Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead and cultivate a high-achieving Data Operations team through coaching, mentoring, and performance enhancement.

• Manage the reliability, availability, and quality of enterprise data by effectively overseeing data pipelines, integrations, and operational workflows.

• Ensure the implementation of data governance standards, policies, and best practices.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Reporting, Analytics, and business leaders to prioritize and deliver data processes and efficiencies.

• Drive initiatives for automation, modernization, and continuous improvement.

• Oversee the performance, scalability, and security of data platforms and tools.

• Lead incident management, root-cause analysis, and resolution processes for data-related issues.

• Define and monitor essential operational metrics and service levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering, data operations, analytics engineering, or a related technical field.

• At least 2 years of experience in leading or managing technical teams and fostering the development of team members.

• Proficient in SQL Server data platforms, ETL/ELT processes, services, and scheduling (SQL Server is mandatory).

• Expertise in cloud-based data platforms and services (Azure or Fabric is essential).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.

• Experience in financial services, lending, fintech, or other highly regulated sectors is preferred.

• Previous experience in a Data Operations position as a lead or manager is preferred.
