Senior Manager, AI Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the complete model development life-cycle from Ideation through to operations, which includes fine-tuning, evaluation, alignment, and deployment of LLMs and other production-quality AI models.

• Create and develop enterprise-level AI agent systems and orchestration frameworks that effectively automate intricate, multi-step business workflows on a large scale.

• Collaborate with the Product team to identify potential opportunities for AI/ML solutions, encompassing agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and systems based on reinforcement learning.

• Educate the organization on how to utilize AI/ML to enhance customer outcomes.

• Work alongside Engineering and Product leadership to align on the roadmap and deliverables aimed at deploying AI/ML models to production, focusing on reliability, latency, cost efficiency, and responsible AI practices.

• Conduct research and keep up-to-date with new technologies and industry trends in the swiftly evolving LLM and foundation model landscape. Integrate new concepts that are well aligned with the objectives of ServiceTitan.

• Recruit, manage, develop, and retain a high-performing team capable of addressing both current and future needs by identifying and utilizing AI/ML opportunities across the entire Product suite.

⛳️ Requirements

• An MS/Ph.D. in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field is required.

• Over 7 years of experience in AI/ML leadership positions, with hands-on experience in delivering impactful, customer-facing, production-quality AI products.

• Practical knowledge of some of the most cutting-edge techniques in machine learning, including large language models, reinforcement learning (RL/RLHF), fine-tuning, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluation frameworks.

• Proficiency in SQL, along with previous experience in big data systems and contemporary ML infrastructure (such as GPU clusters, model serving platforms, and vector databases).

• Coding experience in Python (strongly preferred), with familiarity in frameworks like PyTorch, Hugging Face, vLLM, or similar tools.

• Experience in building and managing LLM-powered features in production, covering aspects like guardrails, evaluation pipelines, and cost/latency optimization.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts to business stakeholders.

• Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and learn swiftly in an environment that evolves rapidly.

• Strong written and presentation skills.
