Senior Machine Learning Engineer – Personalization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, development, assessment, and refinement of recommendation models that enhance music experiences.

• Engage in hands-on machine learning (ML) development to elevate recommendation quality across primary platforms.

• Support the team's initiative to adopt generative recommendation models.

• Advocate for best practices in the development and testing of ML systems.

• Work collaboratively with Data Science, Product, and Design teams to establish success metrics and conduct A/B testing.

• Collaborate with various teams across Personalization to incorporate and evaluate new signals in recommendation systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid foundation in machine learning with a focus on statistics and optimization.

• Practical experience in developing and deploying production-level machine learning systems at scale.

• Proficiency in implementing ML systems using Java, Scala, Python, or comparable languages.

• Knowledge of PyTorch, Ray, or Hugging Face is advantageous.

• Some familiarity with large-scale distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or Scio.

• Experience with cloud service platforms like GCP or AWS.

• Ability to collaborate on intricate ML projects and engage with cross-functional stakeholders.
