Senior Machine Learning Engineer – MLOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Serve as the connection between the Data Science team and the production environment. The role involves designing, constructing, and maintaining large-scale Machine Learning systems and pipelines, ensuring they operate efficiently, are scalable, and exhibit low latency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Software Engineering and System Design: Profound understanding of coding best practices (clean code, testing, design patterns), system architecture design and documentation (C4 Model), and the establishment of CI/CD pipelines for ML (e.g., GitHub Actions).

• MLOps (Databricks-centric): Expertise in the ML lifecycle, including experiment tracking (MLflow), managing Feature Stores (to prevent data leakage), Infrastructure as Code (using Databricks Asset Bundles), cost/computation optimization, and monitoring model quality and drift.

• Serving and Orchestration: Outlining serving strategies (batch vs. online), developing inference APIs (using FastAPI, Databricks), implementing advanced containerization (Docker), and setting up monitoring with alerts.

• Data Processing: Creating scalable pipelines and distributed processing solutions utilizing PySpark, Spark SQL, and real-time streaming with Apache Kafka.

• Engineering Background: Significant prior experience in Backend, DevOps, or SRE roles (particularly with microservices in production).

• Generative AI: Proficiency in integrating and productizing LLMs and GenAI (including OpenAI and open-source models).

• Analytics Engineering: Familiarity with dbt, Delta Lake, and data modeling practices.

• Multi-cloud: Experience working across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
