Senior Machine Learning Engineer – ML Recall

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement robust machine learning systems for search, incorporating text, image, and multimodal methods.

• Fine-tune large language models to enhance various aspects of our system, beyond the existing capabilities.

• Utilize new techniques and models to enhance business KPIs while validating hypotheses.

• Collaborate with other technical teams to share insights and improve the overall system performance.

• Take ownership of your work and the contributions of your team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in applied machine learning.

• Strong expertise in natural language processing, particularly with transformer-based methods.

• In-depth understanding of classical machine learning techniques.

• Advanced proficiency in Python programming.

• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks, with experience in PyTorch preferred.

• Knowledge of various SQL dialects, including SparkSQL and MySQL.

• Proven track record of delivering machine learning systems in production environments.

• Competence with big data technologies for end-to-end machine learning product development, primarily using Pyspark.

• Ability to translate intuition into data-driven hypotheses that lead to engineering solutions with significant business impact.

• A proactive approach to problem-solving, actively seeking solutions rather than overlooking issues.

• A collaborative spirit, eager to assist teammates and others.

• Nice to have:

• - Experience in designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests.

• - Proficiency in Rust or C/C++.

• - Familiarity with public cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• - Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and their trade-offs.

• - Empathetic attitude.

• - Ability to simplify complex concepts for better understanding.

• - Passion for performance optimization, including enhancing result quality and improving code efficiency.
