Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take a leading role in defining the strategic direction of machine learning infrastructure.

• Seek out opportunities for innovation and enhancement.

• Propel the creation of advanced solutions for the performance, scalability, and reliability of ML systems.

• Work closely with the Data Science team to ensure smooth deployment of models.

• Design and supervise the development of intricate machine learning pipelines.

• Oversee both real-time and batch inference systems.

• Mentor and support mid-level Machine Learning Engineers.

• Perform thorough code reviews and pinpoint areas for enhancement.

• Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Lead the integration of new technologies into the existing infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge of cloud technologies (preferably AWS).

• Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration (ideally Kubernetes).

• In-depth understanding of software development, DevOps, and MLOps best practices.

• Significant experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable models and services within production environments.

• Strong grasp of Machine Learning principles.

• Experience with MLflow for tracking experiments and managing models.

• Familiarity with Airflow or Dagster for orchestrating comprehensive ML pipelines.

• Substantial experience in Data Engineering, Kafka, and stream processing.

• Proficient in Python and SQL; knowledge of other programming languages is a valuable asset.
