This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, train, and refine innovative deep learning models for TCR–pMHC specificity prediction.
• Adapt and enhance advancements in protein structure prediction and protein-protein interaction modeling within the context of immune receptors.
• Execute thorough benchmarking and evaluation strategies to guarantee that models are both scientifically valid and practically effective.
• Convert biological principles of T cell recognition into informed modeling choices.
• Impact large-scale experimental data generation to optimize modeling effectiveness and achieve long-term performance improvements.
• Offer technical guidance in broader modeling discussions and strategic planning.
• Collaborate closely with teams in computational biology, immunology, translational science, and engineering to ensure models are resilient, reproducible, and aligned with overarching product objectives.
• Share modeling insights, strategies, and findings with diverse scientific audiences.
• Contribute to publications, presentations, and other forms of technical dissemination through execution and analysis.
• Perform any additional tasks as assigned.
• PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., Machine Learning, Computational Biology, Computer Science, etc.) plus 5 years of progressive experience applying machine learning to real-world scientific or biological challenges, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Progressive experience in the creation and implementation of deep learning techniques.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Python and contemporary ML tools (PyTorch preferred).
• Strong background in designing and implementing deep learning architectures.
• Significant experience with protein structure prediction or analysis.
• Experience handling large datasets and working in high-performance computing environments.
• Capability to independently define, scope, and tackle complex technical research challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present highly technical information to varied audiences.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams.
• Driven by impact: motivated to transition models from research to clinical and commercial applications.
