This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct research, design, develop, and test robotic and machine learning applications for an autonomous vehicle company.

• Engage in the full machine learning lifecycle, which includes data collection, labeling, processing, algorithm design, model training, and evaluation.

• Develop problem statements tailored to autonomous operations and create innovative solutions to tackle them.

• Create novel machine learning models and algorithms, incorporating new deep learning architectures, loss functions, and training protocols.

• Apply advanced machine learning methodologies such as convolutional neural networks and Generative AI to improve object detection and perception.

• Focus on enhancing perception characteristics of detected objects, including their kinematics, intent, and short-term trajectory forecasts.

• Innovate and implement solutions for integrating multiple sensors (e.g., Camera, RADAR, LiDAR) along with additional contextual information like High Definition Maps and temporal data streams.

• Collaborate with the team to guarantee the safe and efficient functioning of autonomous vehicles.

• Assist in troubleshooting real-time issues within the ride-hail fleet that arise from perception-related challenges.


⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Data Science, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in roles such as Machine Learning Engineer, Computer Vision Engineer, Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, Data Scientist, or equivalent positions.

• Proficiency in Radar Perception utilizing artificial intelligence (AI).

• Experience with monocular 3D object detection.

• Knowledge of Autonomous Vehicle Sensor Fusion.

• Familiarity with Data Structures and programming in Python, C++, and ROS.

• Expertise in Machine Learning Model Optimization.

• Skills in developing Auto-Labeling Techniques.

• Experience in Large-Scale Data Generation and Analytics.

• Background in leveraging Advanced Mathematical Concepts to develop and refine Machine Learning Models.
