Senior Logistics Optimization Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver strategic direction for comprehensive logistics optimization efforts across the enterprise.

• Formulate and implement optimization strategies encompassing routing, workforce management, training, coaching, automation, analytics, and process enhancement.

• Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, Sales, Customer Experience, Digital, Fleet, and Corporate leadership teams.

• Recognize opportunities, implement innovative solutions, and drive quantifiable business outcomes.

• Supervise the development of future-state capabilities that support automation, standardization, and scalable growth.

• Assess emerging trends, technologies, and best practices for future capability enhancement.

• Manage the identification, prioritization, and execution of process improvements.

• Spearhead initiatives aimed at routing optimization, workforce management, scheduling, productivity, service performance, and operational efficiency.

• Establish governance frameworks, performance metrics, and reporting systems.

• Create ownership models, accountability frameworks, and performance expectations within logistics functions.

• Drive the development of discipline-based management strategies within WM Logistics.

• Design scalable operating models, organizational frameworks, and support structures.

• Utilize operational data, analytics, workforce management tools, and business intelligence reporting.

• Lead Logistics Optimization leaders and teams that focus on workforce management, coaching, training, business solutions, analytics, and optimization initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or a High School Diploma or GED (accredited) combined with four years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

• Over 10 years of pertinent experience in dispatch, logistics, or collections.

• Minimum of 5 years in supervisory or management roles.

• Capability to assess logistics trends, technologies, and best practices.

• Proficient in routing optimization, workforce management, scheduling, productivity, service performance, and operational efficiency.

• Familiarity with operational data, analytics, workforce management tools, and business intelligence reporting.

• Competence in establishing governance structures, performance metrics, reporting frameworks, ownership models, and accountability systems.

• Ability to develop scalable operating models and future-oriented organizational structures.

• Proficient in leading teams responsible for workforce management, coaching, training, business solutions, analytics, and optimization programs.

• REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative, or willingness to obtain one if required for business air travel or access to federal properties.
