Senior Loan Eligibility Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Tasked with conducting advanced eligibility assessments, documentation reviews, and risk evaluations for mortgage loans.

• Analyzes intricate borrower situations and ensures compliance with agency standards.

• Offers guidance to internal teams regarding loan eligibility and documentation prerequisites.

• Executes thorough eligibility assessments for a variety of mortgage transactions and reviews borrower risk profiles.

• Precisely enters and verifies loan information, identifying and rectifying documentation issues.

• Acts as a resource for resolving complex eligibility inquiries and collaborates with multiple teams to address challenges.

• Maintains an expert-level understanding of mortgage product guidelines and aids teams in loan assessments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a High School diploma or GED.

• Some college education is preferred.

• Requires a minimum of five (5) years in mortgage operations, underwriting, loan eligibility, quality control, or underwriting support.

• At least three (3) years of experience in reviewing complex Conventional, Government, Jumbo, Renovation, Non-Delegated, or Non-Agency mortgage products is necessary.

• Advanced experience in analyzing income for self-employed borrowers and non-traditional income documentation is preferred.

• Correspondent lending experience is highly desirable.

• In-depth knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, Renovation, and Non-Agency guidelines is essential.

• Strong skills in income calculation and cash-flow analysis are required.

• Proficiency in interpreting tax returns, business returns, profit and loss statements, bank statements, and other financial documents is necessary.

• Possesses exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.

• Capability to train and mentor less experienced team members is essential.
