This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Oversee the utilization of computational resources on the server platform, collaborating with network management to guarantee availability and optimal performance;
• Install and set up Linux operating systems, components, and services, including those configured for high-availability environments;
• Diagnose and resolve incidents and issues within operating systems and essential services, ensuring continuity in high-availability situations;
• Update operational environments by implementing fixes and patches provided by vendors;
• Define and organize resources accessible on servers (folders, shares, permissions);
• Establish naming conventions and user/group organization in line with security policies;
• Conduct basic configurations and offer support for content filtering solutions (proxy);
• Conduct basic configurations and provide support for infrastructure monitoring solutions;
• Engage in projects, supplying technical insights related to sizing and specifications of servers, their components, and software;
• Create technical documentation and internal articles outlining best practices for utilizing and managing the Linux platform within high-availability environments;
• Offer support for hardware- and operating system-related challenges on servers;
• Conduct basic configurations and provide support for firewall and IPS solutions;
• Monitor technical tickets with vendors to address complex issues regarding the Linux platform;
• Research solutions and compile technical specifications to assist in analyses and decisions concerning Linux server infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT).
• Proven minimum of 5 (five) years of experience in the specified specialty in critical, high-availability corporate environments, as evidenced by employment records (workbook) or a declaration from a public or private institution where the candidate has been employed.
• Official ITIL Foundation V4 or higher certification.
• Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC-3) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
• Completion of OpenShift Administrator or Kubernetes Administrator course (20 hours).
• Completion of Cloud Computing Architecting course (20 hours).
• Completion of Next-Generation Firewall training (20 hours).
