Senior Java Developer – Spring Boot

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

• Create and uphold a microservices architecture while ensuring clear service boundaries and scalability.

• Integrate with databases, message brokers, and external systems using established industry patterns.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in accordance with best practices and coding standards.

• Conduct code reviews and engage in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and QA engineers to provide comprehensive solutions.

• Monitor application performance and resolve issues in both development and production environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of practical experience in Java development.

• Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.

• Skilled in creating RESTful APIs and integrating with external services.

• Extensive experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and JPA/Hibernate.

• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and principles of test-driven development.

• Experience with tools like Maven or Gradle, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Solid understanding of microservices, containerization (Docker), and working within cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Familiarity with message queue systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).

• Exposure to frontend technologies (e.g., Angular or React) is advantageous.

• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) is beneficial.

• Understanding of DevOps concepts and CI/CD practices.

• Awareness of security best practices in backend services.
