Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.

📋 Description

• Engage in the design of solutions and software to fulfill the necessary functionalities.

• Evaluate, enhance, and optimize application code utilizing cutting-edge AI tools and contemporary development practices within Trading Controls tools.

• Examine and assess Java and Spring Boot-based applications to guarantee code quality, scalability, and maintainability while minimizing technical debt.

• Utilize AI-driven tools (such as GitHub Copilot and Devin) to expedite code analysis, refactoring, and documentation processes.

• Work collaboratively with engineering teams to identify performance bottlenecks and suggest enhancements.

• Assist in the adoption of best practices for both backend and frontend development.

• Contribute to continuous integration and delivery workflows.

• Handle requests directed to other production support teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a developer in the specified areas is required.

• Proficiency and experience with AI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Devin).

• Background in enhancing code quality, decreasing technical debt, and increasing delivery efficiency.

• Java; Java Database Connectivity; J2EE.

• Spring Boot.

• JavaScript.

• Maven.

• JADE (Node.js).

• HTML.

• BBDD.

• Oracle.

• APIs, Microservices.

• CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps methodologies.

• Extensive experience in cybersecurity and quality assurance (Fortify, SonarQube, etc.) to address and mitigate technical debt.

• Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
