Senior Java Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Creating and deploying robust backend services utilizing Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch

• Designing scalable, distributed systems and microservices to support our essential financial products

• Structuring data and overseeing PostgreSQL and Redis for both transactional operations and caching requirements

• Developing and securing RESTful APIs for both internal and external use

• Engaging with event-driven architectures and utilizing tools such as Kafka or RabbitMQ

• Guiding junior engineers by promoting best practices and maintaining quality standards

• Collaborating with stakeholders to provide technical solutions that meet business objectives

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend development with Java, including expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Batch

• Solid foundation in software architecture, system design, and microservices

• Proficient in PostgreSQL, Redis, and scalable data modeling techniques

• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes

• Strong comprehension of cloud platforms, particularly AWS

• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban)

• Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills

• Proficient in both English and Spanish
