This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Develop, sustain, test, and troubleshoot software within a Windows client/server framework.
• Establish and outline system scope and objectives through investigation and analysis.
• Create comprehensive specifications for program development.
• Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain software applications.
• Assess user needs and assist in crafting specifications.
• Develop and adjust software in accordance with data processing requests.
• Create and uphold software to satisfy insurance carrier and regulatory obligations.
• Test and debug assigned projects while supporting the testing of colleagues’ projects.
• Draft documentation for both new and existing software.
• Investigate escalated support calls and resolve data and/or software issues.
• Contribute to the professional development of programmers.
• Adhere to departmental design and development standards.
• Provide high-quality customer service.
• Stay updated with software language updates and technological advancements.
• Support the organization’s quality assurance initiatives.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• A major in Information Systems or Computer Science is preferred.
• Four to six years of experience in language development in a relevant programming language and/or business analytics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience in interpreting user requirements, business application design, and development is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of language development and application design.

• Experience with Windows client/server environments.

• Proficiency in computer keyboarding.
