Senior IT Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You oversee the IT environments of our clients, specifically targeting upper mid-market and large corporations, ensuring seamless operations.

• You address intricate incidents, problems, and changes within sophisticated IT environments, including our own data centers and platforms, and devise swift, innovative solutions.

• You maintain strong communication with our clients, grasp their needs and technologies, develop customized concepts, and occasionally offer quick workarounds.

• By meticulously documenting incidents and solutions, you help uphold our consistently high service quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of three years of professional experience in a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto or similar vendors), along with proxy, WAF (e.g., F5), mail security, and networking technologies (e.g., Aruba, Extreme, Cisco).

• Ideally, you possess additional hands-on experience with one or two of these vendors.

• You are intrigued by new technologies and aim to stay updated on emerging trends.

• You take responsibility for our clients’ challenges — a temporary workaround is not acceptable to you.

• As a technology-driven, customer-oriented, and personable professional with a sense of humor, you share your knowledge within the team, contributing to expertise development and a respectful work atmosphere.

• You have business-fluent German and very good English proficiency.
