Senior IT Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Developing hypotheses regarding possible threats

• Conducting manual and partially automated analyses of IT systems and validating hypotheses using SIEM

• Engaging in proactive and iterative threat hunting across networks to identify and isolate advanced threats

• Enhancing the automated elements of the detection system

• Assessing potential risks and monitoring suspicious network activities

• Compiling IT security assessments for incidents related to security

• Participating (partially) in IT projects, especially in the implementation of security-related solutions

• Planning and executing standard modifications in alignment with ITIL

• Being part of the on-call duty rotation

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a similar qualification with a focus on IT

• In-depth understanding of security (IPS/IDS, threat intelligence, threat analysis, and vulnerabilities)

• Comprehensive knowledge of IT security and networking environments, along with system hardening practices

• Strong expertise in penetration testing and vulnerability management

• Proficient knowledge of Linux and/or Windows operating systems

• Hands-on experience in managing security processes

• Programming skills, particularly in Python

• Familiarity with Elastic is preferred, and initial experience with ServiceNow is a plus

• A structured, independent, and solution-focused approach to work

• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies

• Proficient written and spoken skills in both German and English
