This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the creation of comprehensive interior architectural drawing sets.
• Generate detailed plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, schedules, and construction details.
• Create drawings for custom millwork, cabinetry, paneling, built-ins, ceilings, stairs, fireplaces, doors, and specialty interior features.
• Prepare transitions for walls, floors, ceilings, and finishes.
• Document interior framing, blocking, substrates, attachment methods, clearances, and finish applications.
• Convert complex design concepts into technically sound and feasible solutions.
• Review architectural, structural, MEP, lighting, and vendor drawings to ensure coordination with interior design.
• Identify constructability challenges, drawing discrepancies, and missing information prior to issuing drawings.
• Coordinate technical specifics with contractors, fabricators, millworkers, and specialty vendors.
• Evaluate shop drawings and submittals for design intent, dimensions, materials, and coordination.
• Establish and uphold drafting and documentation standards.
• Mentor and review work of intermediate and junior drafting personnel.
• Assist the design team with technical insights during design development and construction phases.
• Carry out other related tasks as assigned.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• 8–10+ years of experience in architectural or interior architectural drafting.
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Strong proficiency in Revit.
• Extensive background in preparing detailed, construction-ready interior drawing sets.
• Expert knowledge of custom millwork, cabinetry, interior framing, finish carpentry, and finish applications.
• In-depth understanding of construction sequencing, substrates, tolerances, attachment methods, and material transitions.
• Experience collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and fabricators.
• Ability to independently address complex technical and constructability challenges.
• Strong knowledge of relevant building codes and industry standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and drawing coordination.
• A degree in architecture, interior architecture, architectural technology, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Architectural licensure is appreciated but not mandatory.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
• Self-motivated, capable of working independently and adhering to established processes.
• Ability to adjust to new systems and workflows.
• Professional, reliable, coachable, and accountable with excellent attendance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as standard business tools.
• Available to work U.S. Eastern Time (New York) business hours and adapt to business needs.
