Senior Infrastructure Security Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate modifications in cloud and compute architecture designs.

• Create threat models for cloud and compute paved roads to pinpoint security vulnerabilities.

• Develop or utilize open-source tools to oversee and strengthen cloud infrastructure.

• Leverage expert knowledge of security best practices for AWS and Kubernetes to guide remediation efforts.

• Lead the formulation and execution of security policies while ensuring compliance with these policies.

• Write automation scripts that fulfill security requirements such as threat detection.

• Perform initial incident triage and engage in the incident response procedure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in securing extensive cloud environments, especially with AWS.

• Enthusiastic about creating secure infrastructure-as-code (IaC) pipelines using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Familiarity with IAM policies, network segmentation, and VPC architecture.

• Comprehensive understanding of monitoring and logging within cloud-native environments.

• Proficient in detecting misconfigurations and mitigating associated risks.

• Experience in implementing security measures within Kubernetes clusters or serverless architectures.

• Skilled in automating security processes and embedding security tools into CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning techniques.

• Well-informed about AWS infrastructure security.

• Strong interest in container security, POSIX Capabilities, SECCOMP, and OSQuery.

• Experience in developing secure web applications and APIs, with a solid understanding of the OWASP Top 10.
