Senior Infrastructure, Backup and Virtualization Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Oversee VMware infrastructures.

• Manage and enhance virtual environments.

• Implement and maintain Veritas NetBackup Appliances.

• Establish backup and recovery strategies.

• Support operations for IBM Power infrastructure.

• Conduct disaster recovery and business continuity tests.

• Monitor the health and performance of the infrastructure.

• Create technical documentation.

• Assist with migration and modernization initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure settings.

• Strong proficiency in: VMware vSphere

• Veritas NetBackup Appliance

• IBM Power Systems

• Required Certifications: IBM Power Certification

• VMware Certification (VCP preferred)

• Veritas NetBackup Appliance Certification

• Preferred Skills: Storage solutions

• Linux administration

• AIX administration

• Security hardening

• Automation and scripting.
