This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Organize and implement processes pertaining to 1st mortgage and equity loans.
• Efficiently oversee a pipeline of diverse product types, including conventional, FHA, and jumbo products, as well as purchase and refinance transactions, covering owner-occupied, second home, and investment loan types, including manufactured housing and condominiums.
• Collaborate with both internal and external Home Loan Advisors to guarantee accurate, efficient, and timely loan processing.
• Coordinate and relay information with Members, Home Loan Advisors, and Vendors regarding loan transactions in relation to loan processing.
• Manage the ordering of all title reports, flood certificates, FHA case numbers, CAVIRS, LDP/GSA, and follow up on appraisal orders. Review all received documentation for accuracy and assess if additional research or documentation is necessary.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance, including BSA, RESPA, TILA, TRID, and AML laws pertinent to the position.
• Review and compute income from received documentation according to investor guidelines and Golden 1’s policies/procedures, updating the Loan Origination System accordingly.
• Analyze and interpret Desktop Underwriter findings. Rerun/Update DU with all revised calculations, appraised value, and available funds prior to final approval submission to underwriting, ensuring both DU and the Loan Origination System align with the documentation in the file.
• Examine and assess credit documentation for compliance with investor and Golden 1’s policies.
• Prepare and process general correspondence and document exchanges, updating the Loan Origination System with all details for comprehensive tracking purposes.
• Manage the pipeline to meet service levels, including turnaround times and customer service scores, while maintaining minimum efficiency standards and required loan quality.
• Complete Home Mortgage Disclosure Act information.
• Address and respond to quality control issues.
• Acquire and sustain knowledge of FNMA, FHA, G1CU equity products, and associated investor guidelines.
• Perform duties in accordance with Golden 1’s performance competency standards.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
• A successful completion of a High School curriculum is preferred. Additional work experience may be considered in place of a High School diploma.
• Five years or more of experience in a financial institution processing Home Loans and managing routine to complex processes.
• Recent experience in processing FHA loans is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and research abilities.
• Maintain updated knowledge of the real estate industry, Golden 1’s policies/procedures & guidelines, and various investor guidelines, including Fannie Mae and FHA.

• Precision in calculating income related to loan transactions.
