This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Design systems, implement features, and conduct tests using C++ and Blueprints.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to prototype gameplay features.
• Identify and address potential issues and risks, proposing effective solutions.
• Share expertise, mentor, and assist colleagues in your field of knowledge.
• Advocate for engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, and release processes.
• Strategize, estimate, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Over 5 years of experience in video game development.
• Strong understanding of Unreal Engine.
• Demonstrated expertise in engineering gameplay systems.
• Proven skills in engineering and code design.
• Proficient in problem-solving, debugging, and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of C++ programming.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Github Copilot.
• Effective technical communication skills.
• Capability to create and maintain technical documentation.
• **Bonus Experience**
• Experience with Epic’s Gameplay Ability System (GAS).
• Background in developing systemic games (such as those with emergent mechanics, interlocking systems, simulation-driven worlds, or sandbox/co-op titles).
• Experience with peer-to-peer and/or client-server multiplayer architectures.
• Knowledge of Steam and/or Epic Game Store.
