📋 Description

• Guide the team in converting tax and regulatory requirements for the US and Canada into modifications for clients’ ERP systems.

• Organize and facilitate discussions with clients and internal operational teams to address issues related to complex updates regarding US and Canadian HR/Payroll.

• Provide comprehensive functional and technical knowledge of the SAP system across various versions, specifically focusing on US, Canada, and Quebec HR/Payroll Modules for the development team.

• Ensure complete product compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations by analyzing each tax and legislative change and producing Business Analysis & Functional specifications that detail the impact on specific SAP modules.

• Offer extensive knowledge of US and Canadian Payroll from both a business standpoint and as a complete process.

• Lead the analysis, design, and configuration of intricate legislative requirements; including testing updates to guarantee product compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, while producing stories for the Scrum Team to refine and work on.

• Direct the team in creating detailed and complex test plans to ensure quality deliverables.

• Identify potential issues related to deliverables and develop strategies to mitigate any shortfalls in timeline and budget.

• Anticipate problems before they arise, define issues and risks, identify possible causes, and guide the team in finding the most suitable solutions.

• Proactively identify risks and issues in development deliveries, leading the team to create and uphold risk management for the deliverables.

• Assist with complex troubleshooting of Tax & Regulatory client cases.

• Provide expertise in the configuration and processing of US, Canadian, and Quebec legislation in SAP.

• Offer knowledge regarding the calculation of US, Canada, and Quebec payroll taxes and the corresponding processes in SAP.

• Present in-depth knowledge and experience with US Tax Reporter, including interpreting state tax file specifications and configuring SAP to generate the file.

• Possess extensive knowledge of Canada T4 and Quebec RL forms and their associated processes within SAP.

• Design and develop business requirements, user stories (functional guidance), configuration requirements, and test plans.

• Collaborate closely with the development team to guarantee adherence to the functional design and ensure all business requirements are met.

• Develop test strategies, review test plans, and conduct system tests in cooperation with the QA team to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Assist the Development and QA Management Team with planning activities related to product-specific Tax & Regulatory updates (e.g., bundle scheduling, project planning, and tracking).

• Organize and communicate information effectively, providing necessary details for product specialists and subscribing clients, including release documentation, installation instructions, and client manual configuration instructions for required system changes.

• Act as a liaison between the Global Tax and Regulatory team and the Development & QA team, as well as our entire client base, ensuring accurate dissemination of information related to US legislative changes.

• Communicate efficiently across various teams and with both internal and external customers.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of extensive experience in US & Canada SAP HR/Payroll projects as primary responsibilities.

• In-depth functional and technical knowledge of the SAP system, particularly in US, Canada, and Quebec HR/Payroll.

• Expert knowledge of US and Canadian Payroll from both a business perspective and as an end-to-end process.

• Comprehensive understanding of US & Canada SAP Payroll from a legislative standpoint and insight into how a payroll department operates and its expectations.

• Extensive knowledge and experience with US Tax Reporter, including the interpretation of state tax file specifications and the configuration of SAP to produce the file.

• Profound understanding of the configuration of SAP Modules.

• A proven track record of successful roles in various Enterprise Application projects encompassing the full development and QA lifecycle processes.

• Ability to collaborate closely with the Global Tax & Regulatory team to ensure accurate transfer and comprehension of all critical information related to tax and regulatory changes.

• Ability to work closely with development teams to ensure adherence to functional specifications and collaborate with QA teams to develop high-level test plans and strategies.
