Senior Fullstack Mobile Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Develop features, troubleshoot bugs, and address production incidents across iOS and Android platforms, including backend and web frontend dependencies, ensuring delivery of thoroughly tested, production-ready solutions that align with the team's quality standards.

• Take full ownership of mobile projects from start to finish — gather requirements, design the solution, break it down into tasks, implement, and launch on both iOS and Android, incorporating any necessary backend and web frontend modifications.

• Serve as the primary technical escalation resource for intricate mobile challenges — identify root causes within the app, native layers, networking, and platform behavior, and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.

• Evaluate code and designs for accuracy — including component and navigation structure, rendering, native integration, and adherence to mobile best practices — to identify issues prior to release.

• Contribute to and enhance mobile engineering standards within the team — focusing on component architecture, native integration, testing, and release protocols.

• Oversee the operational performance of deployed work — monitor releases and staged rollouts, assess release health, and address post-release issues on both platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years specializing in React Native.

• Expertise in React Native and TypeScript as the primary skill set.

• Strong foundational knowledge of JavaScript — including asynchronous programming, event loop behavior, and error handling.

• Familiarity with relational and document databases — encompassing data modeling, querying, and indexing.

• Comprehension of RESTful API design and HTTP principles — capable of interfacing with Node.js backend services, API contracts, database queries, and web frontend code.

• Acquainted with native iOS and Android platforms and their development tools (Xcode, Android Studio, Gradle).

• Understanding of mobile operating system fundamentals — such as app lifecycle, background execution, permissions, and memory restrictions.

• Experience with automated testing methodologies (unit, integration, E2E).

• Knowledge of mobile security practices — secure management and storage of sensitive and payment-related data.

• Proficient in utilizing AI-assisted development tools for research, troubleshooting, and implementation on a daily basis.

• Skilled in independently diagnosing common React Native production challenges — including rendering, navigation, networking, and app lifecycle management.

• Proven history of overseeing mobile projects from inception to store release — including necessary backend and web frontend updates.

• Experience in architecting mobile applications — balancing performance, reliability, and observability across both iOS and Android.

• Familiarity with designing or integrating native modules and SDKs when React Native abstractions fall short — including targeted Swift/Kotlin modifications and debugging across both JavaScript and native layers.

• Experienced in managing the release process — including app signing, store submission, and staged rollouts.

• Background in establishing mobile engineering practices from the ground up — including standards, CI/CD, and release processes across inherited and greenfield codebases.

• Knowledgeable in designing resilient asynchronous and event-driven backend interactions (messaging, queues).

• Experience with mobile production operations — including monitoring, crash reporting, incident management, and rollback strategies.

• Demonstrated capability to mentor and develop junior engineers.

• Proficient in English for effective daily written and verbal communication.
