This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.
• Develop features, address bugs, and tackle production incidents across both iOS and Android platforms, including necessary backend and web frontend components — ensuring delivery of tested, production-ready outputs that align with the team's quality standards.
• Take full ownership of mobile projects from start to finish — gather requirements, design the strategy, break down tasks, implement, and deliver to production for both iOS and Android, incorporating any required backend and web frontend modifications.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex mobile challenges within the team — identify root causes across the application, native layers, networking, and platform behavior, and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.
• Conduct code and design reviews to ensure accuracy — examining component and navigation structure, rendering, native integration, and conformity with mobile standards — identifying issues prior to release.
• Contribute to and advance mobile engineering standards within the team — focusing on component architecture, native integration, testing, and release policies.
• Oversee the operational performance of deployed work — monitor releases and staged rollouts, evaluate release health, and address post-release issues on both platforms.
• Over 8 years of professional software development experience, including a minimum of 3 years working with React Native.
• Proficiency in React Native and TypeScript as the primary technologies.
• Strong foundational knowledge in JavaScript — including asynchronous programming, event loop behavior, and error handling.
• Familiarity with relational and document databases — encompassing data modeling, querying, and indexing.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and HTTP fundamentals — capable of working with Node.js backend services, API contracts, database queries, and web frontend code.
• Basic knowledge of native iOS and Android platforms and their related tools (Xcode, Android Studio, Gradle).
• Comprehension of mobile OS principles — including app lifecycle, background execution, permissions, and memory constraints.
• Experience with automated testing methodologies (unit, integration, E2E).
• Awareness of mobile security practices — ensuring secure storage and handling of sensitive and payment information.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools on a daily basis — for research, troubleshooting, and implementation.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot common React Native production challenges — including rendering, navigation, networking, and app lifecycle issues.
• Proven history of managing mobile projects from inception to completion — encompassing requirements through store release, including necessary backend and web frontend adjustments.
• Experience in designing mobile application architecture — balancing performance, reliability, and observability across both iOS and Android platforms.
• Expertise in designing or integrating native modules and SDKs where React Native abstractions fall short — including targeted Swift/Kotlin modifications and debugging across JavaScript and native layers.
• Experience overseeing the release process — including app signing, store submissions, and staged rollouts.
• Track record of establishing mobile engineering practices from the ground up — including standards, CI/CD, and release processes across both inherited and greenfield codebases.
• Background in designing resilient asynchronous and event-driven backend interactions (messaging, queues).
• Experience with mobile production operations — including monitoring, crash reporting, incident response, and rollback procedures.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
• Proficient in English for effective daily written and verbal communication.
• Private medical insurance for employees and their families.
• 20 paid vacation days annually.
• 15 paid public holidays each year.
• 5 company-paid sick leave days.
• English language courses.
• Opportunities for relevant professional development.
• Access to gym or swimming pool facilities.
• Home Office Setup Assistance: the company assists with purchasing furniture (office chair, office desk, monitor) and other items to create a comfortable workspace.
• Co-working opportunities.
• Remote work options.
