Senior Fullstack Mobile Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Implement features, address bugs, and manage production incidents across iOS and Android, while also extending to the backend and web frontend dependencies of the product — ensuring delivery of tested, production-ready results that adhere to the team's quality standards.

• Take full ownership of mobile initiatives from start to finish — gather requirements, design the solution, break it down into tasks, implement, and deliver to production on both iOS and Android, including necessary backend and web frontend modifications.

• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for intricate mobile challenges — identify root causes across the application, native layers, networking, and platform behavior, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.

• Review code and designs for accuracy — focusing on component and navigation structure, rendering, native integration, and adherence to mobile patterns — catching issues prior to release.

• Contribute to and enhance mobile engineering standards within the team — including component architecture, native integration, testing, and release policies.

• Oversee the operational health of deployed work — monitoring releases and staged rollouts, assessing release health, and addressing post-release issues on both platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3+ years focused on React Native.

• Expertise in React Native and TypeScript — the primary focus of the role.

• Strong fundamentals in JavaScript — including asynchronous programming, event loop behavior, and error handling.

• Familiarity with both relational and document databases — encompassing data modeling, querying, and indexing.

• Knowledge of RESTful API design and HTTP fundamentals — capable of working with Node.js backend services, API contracts, database queries, and web frontend code.

• Comfort with native iOS and Android platforms and their development tools (Xcode, Android Studio, Gradle).

• Understanding of mobile OS fundamentals — including app lifecycle, background execution, permissions, and memory constraints.

• Experience with automated testing methodologies (unit, integration, E2E).

• Knowledge of mobile security practices — ensuring secure storage and handling of sensitive and payment information.

• Proficient in the day-to-day use of AI-assisted development tools — for research, troubleshooting, and implementation purposes.

• Capability to independently diagnose common React Native production issues — including rendering, navigation, networking, and app lifecycle.

• Proven track record of taking mobile initiatives from requirements to store release — incorporating necessary backend and web frontend changes.

• Experience in designing mobile application architecture — considering performance, reliability, and observability across both iOS and Android.

• Proficient in designing or integrating native modules and SDKs where React Native abstractions fall short — including focused Swift/Kotlin modifications and debugging across JavaScript and native layers.

• Experienced in managing the release process — including app signing, store submissions, and staged rollouts.

• Proven experience in establishing mobile engineering practices from the ground up — setting standards, CI/CD, and release processes across inherited and greenfield codebases.

• Skilled in designing resilient asynchronous and event-driven backend interactions (messaging, queues).

• Background in mobile production operations — including monitoring, crash reporting, incident response, and rollback policies.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor and nurture less experienced engineers.

• Proficient in English to facilitate daily written and verbal communication.
