This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Technical Lead) acts as a key technical contributor and engineering leader within a multidisciplinary delivery team.
• This position integrates hands-on software development with technical leadership, mentoring, architectural guidance, and support for delivery.
• You will play a crucial role in shaping engineering direction, fostering technical excellence, and aiding the development of fellow engineers while collaborating closely with product, design, and federal stakeholders to provide essential solutions.
• With minimal supervision, you will assist in guiding technical choices, supporting delivery execution, and influencing the long-term engineering strategy for the program.
• You will be a trusted technical authority who advocates for engineering best practices, eliminates delivery hurdles, and ensures high-quality results across the team.
• Key responsibilities include leading the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated frontend and backend solutions within a cloud-native microservices architecture.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant software engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent additional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must fulfill federal suitability requirements and successfully complete a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Significant experience in building and supporting modern full stack applications, encompassing both frontend and backend development tasks.
• Expert-level proficiency in backend technologies, particularly Python or Java.
• Strong frontend development experience with Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience in creating and utilizing versioned RESTful APIs with published OpenAPI specifications.
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and contemporary data integration patterns.
• Practical experience with containerized microservices and AWS cloud services, such as ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and source control management via Git.
• Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and their implementation in digital products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts and decisions to non-technical audiences and federal stakeholders.
