This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• You will be responsible for the complete development process, taking ownership of your features and overseeing them from conception to production and beyond.
• You will establish best practices, crafting clean, secure, readable, and scalable code, applying OOP where applicable.
• You will work collaboratively with fellow team members, including engineers and colleagues from various departments.
• You will integrate and build both external and internal APIs.
• You will create new products using PHP and modify existing PHP code to enhance scalability and integrate with new technologies and APIs.
• You will write and optimize SQL queries and design database schemas.
• You will develop and code complex backend algorithms.
• You will profile and enhance both new and legacy code.
• You will utilize CSS and JavaScript to ensure the functionality of new products.
• You will leverage Bootstrap 3, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and other open-source technologies.
• You will consistently consider cross-device and cross-platform experiences, including mobile, tablet, and desktop.
• You will deliver frequently and swiftly, maintaining an agile environment with continuous deployment.
• You will demonstrate a genuine interest in our product, mission, and success, going beyond merely completing development tasks.
• You will enjoy a collaborative team atmosphere filled with fun.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
• Strong understanding of web development concepts and principles.
• Examples of full-stack projects are required.
• At least one significant demonstrable project encompassing front-end code, back-end code, and database integration.
• Ability to design, develop, and launch a web application from beginning to end.
• Quick learner with the capability to acquire new skills independently.
• Results-driven mindset with a passion for creating exceptional products.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in web development (any stack), addressing complex problems and implementing new features from scratch.
• At least 3 years of experience in SQL, including designing relational database schemas and crafting complex queries.
• Familiarity with web and SQL security best practices.
• Comfortable working outside the confines of a framework.
• Experience using Git in a collaborative environment.
• Must be able to work in the US and travel to our San Jose, California offices up to three times a year, as well as attend an additional company offsite.
