Senior Full-Stack Engineer – TypeScript / PHP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Develop essential healthcare integrations and tackle challenges that many teams tend to overlook.

• Integrate a cutting-edge SaaS product into Pharmacy Management Systems throughout the United States.

• Create and construct integration architecture from the ground up.

• Collaborate closely with client-side engineers to ensure alignment on APIs, constraints, and system behavior.

• Develop backend services utilizing TypeScript within the Node.js ecosystem, while also maintaining and extending portions of the system in PHP.

• Ensure that unreliable third-party systems function predictably.

• Address issues such as data inconsistencies and partial failures.

• Take ownership of problems from vague requirements through to deployed solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of engineering experience.

• Outstanding proficiency in TypeScript (Node.js).

• Familiarity with PHP codebases.

• Proven experience in building or maintaining complex systems.

• Background in integrations, APIs, or distributed systems.

• Capability to collaborate with external engineering teams.

• Comprehension of reliability over elegance, with debugging as a fundamental skill.

• Ability to communicate effectively across teams and avoid deploying fragile solutions.

• Experience with intricate real-world integrations (fintech, healthcare, logistics, etc.) is advantageous.

• Direct collaboration experience with client or partner engineering teams is a plus.

• Experience troubleshooting systems where you do not control all components is a plus.

• Design experience for systems that can recover from failures is a plus.

• Ability to consider trade-offs rather than solely relying on best practices is a plus.
