📋 Description

• Take ownership of the entire lifecycle of product features, encompassing database schema design, backend development, frontend delivery, and production monitoring.

• Design, construct, and sustain scalable event-driven and distributed systems, ensuring reliability and data consistency.

• Create and enhance complex PostgreSQL queries, migrations, and transactional workflows to facilitate high-performance financial operations.

• Develop robust integrations with third-party systems utilizing webhooks, queues, retry mechanisms, and reconciliation processes.

• Apply reliability engineering patterns, including idempotency, dead-letter queues (DLQs), outbox patterns, and fault-tolerant processing.

• Build responsive, high-quality user interfaces leveraging React and Next.js.

• Participate in architectural decision-making and strive to enhance system scalability, observability, and operational excellence.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code or similar platforms to boost engineering productivity and expedite delivery.

• Engage in code reviews, mentor fellow engineers, and advocate for best practices in managing sensitive financial and transactional data.

• Collaborate across various functions with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to deliver outstanding user experiences.

• Implement and manage observability and monitoring solutions using tools such as Datadog or OpenTelemetry.

• Contribute to infrastructure automation and cloud resource management through Infrastructure as Code methodologies like Terraform or Pulumi.

• Ensure that engineering practices adhere to security, compliance, and regulatory requirements, including SOC2 and PCI-DSS standards where necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Full-Stack Engineer, delivering end-to-end production-ready applications.

• Strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js.

• Advanced knowledge of React and Next.js.

• Extensive experience in PostgreSQL and database engineering, including raw SQL, query optimization, migrations, and performance analysis.

• Proven track record in designing and maintaining event-driven and distributed systems.

• Solid understanding of reliability engineering patterns, including:

• - Idempotency keys and retry strategies

• - Dead-letter queues (DLQs)

• - Outbox patterns

• - Reconciliation processes for data consistency

• Experience in developing webhook-driven architectures and integrating third-party systems.

• Strong grasp of scalable system architecture, asynchronous processing, and fault-tolerant applications.

• Experience in financial, payments, billing, payroll, or ledgering systems.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code or similar agentic coding platforms.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a systems-thinking approach and a keen eye for edge cases and data integrity.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently within high-impact engineering teams.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.

• Knowledge of observability and monitoring platforms like Datadog or OpenTelemetry.

• Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy environments, including SOC2 or PCI-DSS.

• Understanding of property-based testing frameworks such as fast-check for validating complex business logic.

• Experience in optimizing applications for scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.

• Previous experience in mentoring engineers and contributing to technical leadership initiatives.

• Background in fintech or high-transaction-volume platforms.

• Exposure to modern AI-enhanced engineering workflows and automation practices.

• Experience working collaboratively within autonomous, product-focused engineering teams.
