Senior Full Stack Engineer – Python, React JS

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to conceptualize, develop, test, deploy, and sustain scalable web applications.

• Utilize AI coding agents to expedite product development and resolve defects.

• Design and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.

• Implement asynchronous application processing utilizing tools such as Sidekiq.

• Create and uphold responsive, high-performance React.js interfaces and reusable components.

• Write and optimize SQL queries for PostgreSQL/MySQL databases.

• Enhance application reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability of extensive enterprise systems.

• Formulate and collaborate with other engineers on technical specifications aligned with both short-term and long-term Product roadmaps and enterprise architectural objectives.

• Employ APM and observability tools to identify, diagnose, and rectify performance bottlenecks.

• Recognize technical debt and drive practical solutions to address it.

• Take ownership of features and complex issues from product design through development, deployment, and monitoring.

• Engage in all aspects of the Product, Design, and Engineering processes, collaboratively building new features in a pod-based environment.

• Interact with internal customers by leveraging your contributions to our software platform in support of external customers.

• Collaborate with team members to identify, prioritize, and mitigate technical debt while enhancing scalability and performance across the codebase.

• Participate in architectural and technical design discussions across Product and Engineering.

• Contribute to peer code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows.

• Investigate and address outages through root-cause analysis and implement clear follow-up improvements.

• Mentor junior engineers and advocate for engineering best practices, using AI-led methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• 8+ years of experience in developing enterprise-level applications using Python.

• 3+ years of experience working with React.js or other modern JavaScript frameworks.

• 3+ years of experience in a 30+ member engineering team.

• 3+ years of fully remote work experience and a commitment to continue working remotely.

• 3+ years of experience in developing and managing applications on AWS.

• 2+ years of experience utilizing AI coding agents, including Claude Code or Codex.

• Familiarity with Docker for local development.

• Experience managing enterprise-level production workload applications on AWS.

• Proficiency in integrating with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

• Capability to write raw SQL queries in relational databases.

• Experience in creating asynchronous background job processes across various tools and frameworks.

• Knowledge of observability tools such as Datadog, Sentry, or New Relic.

• Experience writing automated unit tests with more than 60% code coverage.

• CI/CD development experience, specifically in creating GitHub Actions.

• Experience in modernizing legacy Python applications.

• Background in product-led engineering organizations.

• Experience working in a multi-team or pod-based engineering environment.

• Demonstrates accountability and ownership while identifying gaps when they arise.

• Experience in high-volume transactional production settings.

• Exceptional ability to translate product requirement documents into comprehensive technical specifications.

• Availability to work US Eastern Timezone hours between 9am - 5pm ET.
