This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Create and develop the visualization platform that supports TRM’s investigative tools, including graph exploration and extensive data visualization.
• Design high-performance rendering systems utilizing technologies like Canvas, WebGL, and GPU-accelerated rendering to visualize intricate datasets.
• Construct reusable visualization libraries, SDKs, and platform elements that empower teams throughout TRM to create impactful data exploration experiences.
• Engage in technical design conversations and code evaluations to enhance architecture, performance, and maintainability.
• Acquire a thorough understanding of crypto and blockchain investigation workflows to guide product design and platform functionalities.
• Contribute to defining the future of data exploration tools utilized by investigators and financial institutions globally.
• Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals with a track record of building large-scale frontend systems.
• Experience in developing data-rich web applications, including analytics platforms, visualization tools, or mapping systems.
• Practical experience with Canvas, WebGL, or GPU-accelerated rendering.
• Familiarity with data visualization libraries such as D3, PixiJS, Three.js, or comparable tools.
• Background in developing or utilizing graph/network visualization systems, employing tools like D3-force, Cytoscape.js, vis.js, Sigma.js, or similar.
• Understanding of graph layouts such as force-directed, hierarchical, or radial layouts.
• Proven experience in optimizing performance in complex user interfaces through techniques like virtualization, viewport culling, Web Workers, and large dataset rendering optimization.
• Experience in designing reusable frontend systems, SDKs, component libraries, or developer platforms.
• Strong foundation in computer science principles, including data structures and algorithmic reasoning.
• Familiar with React and contemporary frontend frameworks.
• Additionally, this role may have the opportunity to participate in TRM’s equity plan.
• On Call: We maintain an on-call rotation that occurs approximately once every 16 weeks.
• Frontend typically does not receive pager duty alerts but may address frontend issues from customer support channels, with the on-call team responsible for determining if it’s a frontend bug or a backend issue.
• Although some on-call weeks can be busy, there are no alerts that require waking up from sleep.
