This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Frontend architecture security: You will design and implement framework-agnostic Web Components.
• Design system development: You will create a centralized design system grounded in native web standards.
• Vue.js application enhancement: You will take charge of an existing codebase, evaluate it, and gradually transition it to the new design system.
• Commitment to accessibility: You will develop in accordance with WCAG guidelines.
• Frontend perspective contribution: You will provide the frontend viewpoint during API discussions with backend engineers, architects, and product managers.
• Quality assurance: You will be accountable for ensuring adequate test coverage, including unit tests, component tests, and end-to-end tests.
• Expertise in web standards: Profound knowledge of vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Web Components (Custom Elements, Shadow DOM).
• Security awareness: Strong understanding of the OWASP Top 10, including XSS, CSRF, misconfigured CORS, and Content Security Policy (CSP).
• Experience with Vue.js: Skills in refactoring and debugging legacy code, state management (Pinia/Vuex), and router configurations.
• Accessibility knowledge: Strong understanding of WCAG; familiarity with BITV 2.0 (German accessibility guideline) is advantageous.
• UX decision-making: Ability to independently make UX choices even in the absence of a dedicated design team.
• Technological adaptability: Capability to evaluate an unfamiliar codebase methodically, prioritize tasks, and continue development calmly.
• AI integration: Proficiency in using AI-assisted tools as a standard part of your workflow — this is a requirement, not optional.
• Language proficiency: Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, as English is our working language.
• Desirable skills: TypeScript (strongly preferred), basic Python for backend code comprehension, familiarity with Linux environments, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD experience, basic understanding of IAM, and German language skills.
