Senior Frontend Engineer – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Develop high-quality code utilizing Liquid, Javascript, Tailwind, GraphQL, and various front-end frameworks.

• Possess expert knowledge and experience with the Shopify Ecommerce platform.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team to maintain high-quality standards.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate issues to clients, developers, and project managers.

• A keen attention to detail to identify issues within acceptance criteria, edge cases, and other potential concerns.

• Make high-level decisions regarding the balance between code quality, issues, and timely code releases.

• Facilitate the release process to ensure that all viewpoints are considered prior to deploying code to production.

• Accountable for leading medium to high complexity frontend feature development while ensuring both completion and quality.

• Plan and assign tasks to other engineering team members as necessary.

• Anticipate risks and offer solutions.

• Able to translate complex requests into actionable solutions and tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in the eCommerce sector.

• Strong proficiency in Liquid, Javascript, Tailwind CSS, GraphQL, REST, and Git.

• Experience in Shopify development, including Themes, APIs, Apps, Functions, and Extensions.

• Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence or other ticket management systems.

• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• In-depth knowledge and experience with front-end, component-driven software technology, and microservice design architecture.

• Comprehensive understanding of user behaviors and marketing sciences within eCommerce.

• Thorough knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies.

• Expertise in software documentation and technical writing.

• Validate project estimates and strategies for all assigned work.

• Serve as a role model for junior staff.

• Exhibit a high level of personal productivity.

• Capable of managing commitments across multiple projects.
