Senior Frontend Engineer – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assist in advancing the frontend architecture of Roof’s systems.

• Participate in a dynamic cross-functional team that prioritizes doing things ‘the right way’.

• Contribute to a nascent company with an engineering-first culture.

• Engage in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, from planning through to delivery.

• Collaborate with team members across functions to establish technical requirements.

• Write clean code to create functional web applications and reusable libraries.

• Develop unit, functional, and acceptance tests.

• Diagnose issues and provide support for production applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in a Senior Engineering role.

• More than 5 years of experience in software development.

• An advocate for agile methodologies, who enjoys deploying code frequently and with confidence.

• Proven ability to deconstruct complex problems into manageable solutions.

• Actively suggests initiatives to enhance our engineering practices and culture.

• Thrives in a collaborative setting where mutual growth is encouraged.

• Takes responsibility for the product and takes pride in the quality of their work.

• Possesses excellent communication skills and values the importance of thorough documentation.

• Understands the challenges associated with the priorities of early-stage companies.

• Strong expertise in Javascript and the React + Redux framework.

• Experience with SCSS.

• Familiarity with RESTful API interactions.

• Experience in developing frontend testing and automation systems for unit tests, integration tests, regression tests, and user acceptance tests.
